A painting done in the style of Nebula. Grandma liked Nebula but wanted it to be more green so I made her her own grand nebula.

Lithography - image transfer and touché wash
I have the ability to hyper-focus on one thing and forget everything else, causing my internal clock to get stuck. With this set of mismatched and misaligned gears, it's no wonder I have no sense of time.

Prowl is one of my favorite and first pieces, as it was completed for a high school art class. The image comes from a picture I had taken of a tiger at the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha, Nebraska.

Intaglio - soft ground etching
One demonstration of soft ground etching was all it took for me to come up with the idea of doing ballet feet positions. After taking dance for 11 years, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th position are not easily forgotten.

While exploring downtown Des Moines with my photography class, I literally stumbled into the past: part of a rail embedded in the old brick street. Even if the old brick streets are covered, you can still find the past peeking out.

Do you get the urge to do the opposite of what a sign tells you? I know I do! "Please DO Touch the Art" consists of four blocks that can be arranged by the viewer. There is no right or wrong way to put together this sculpture; it just wants you to give into the "Do Not Touch the Art" urge and experience art in a more satisfying way!

A photo I took of The Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe in Berlin, Germany on March 15, 2009. I named the picture "Tears of the Holocaust" shortly after taking it but I didn't know how accurate the name was until a week later. After talking with a friend who was also on the trip, she informed me that a man from Berlin told her that rain on the monoliths were tears being shed by those who lived during the Holocaust.
